Training Programmes



In response to increasing number of request we receive each year from Spa & Massage training schools who wish to learn Authentic Ayurvedic Techniques, we have created an Ayurvedic Training programme. This programme is designed to train therapists already proficient in any massage techniques.
 
Although most alternative therapies have a calming and revitalizing effect, Ayurveda techniques have been uniquely developed from a sophisticated medical and energetic framework, which genuinely restores balance & fosters tranquility, clarity & vitality of mind and body.
 

There are many special techniques of Ayurveda massages have been developed especially in Kerala. At present, we are offering comprehensive training in 2 Ayurveda massages.

General Body Massage & Synchronized Massage
These are among the rarest and special types of Ayurvedic oil massage and will probably be the signature treatment for you. The treatment can be given either by single person or by 2 therapists. This is practiced with strokes and techniques, according to circulatory channels and marma points for 45 to 60 minutes. Oils are chosen according to one's body type. The treatment is traditionally useful for fatigue, sleeplessness, improper circulations, joint pains, loss of skin lusture etc.

- Introduction to Ayurveda-Definition, origin, purpose
- Five elements and three doshas
- Understanding constitutional science
- Factors that balance and disturb doshas
- Two basic classification in treatments
- Understanding constitutional types of your friends, family and clients
- Basics in Ayurveda diet
 
Practical training
- Palpation & stimulation of marma points
- Abhyanga massage stroke technique
- Selection of massage oil by body type or season
- Specific massage technique of,
   Head & face
   Neck & shoulders
   Chest & abdomen
   Arms & hand
   Legs & feet
   Back & buttocks
   Spine & joints

+Removal of excess oil by scrub (flower petal powder)
(All procedures include the use of individualized oils, marma points, abhyanga strokes and perfectly synchronized stroke techniques when performing the two-person massage.)
